Dog Behaviour Support

Behaviour consultations are for owners seeking a holistic approach to helping their dog become the best versions of themselves

‘Socially sensitive’ dogs are our speciality. These dogs show problematic behaviours around people or dogs in public or around visitors to your home. Anxious, nervous, overexcited, aggressive or reactive dogs can find the support they need with us

Aftercare is owner-led with no time limits. We offer a wide range of in-person and remote services. You are in control of choosing the level of support you need, when you need it

Is Your Dog Insured?

Sezan and Sue are fully Certified Clinical Animal Behaviourists (CCAB), registered with the ABTC and full members of the FABC and APBC.

If your policy provides behaviour cover, the costs of Oz Dogs services are likely to be recoverable. Please check directly with your insurer before booking if unsure.

We operate a diary open or closed booking system for new clients, so that your waiting time never exceeds 6-8 weeks

    Dog Behaviour Consultation

    Initial consultation + up to 2x follow-on sessions + 1 month messenger support = £450

Your consultation package is designed to cover your needs comprehensively - setting you up with the knowledge and foundation skills you need to understand why your dog is behaving the way they are, and what you can do to help them - for a single behaviour problem.

The first part of your behaviour consultation is a remote (video) session with either Sue or Sezan. We will have plenty of time to discuss your needs, discover the underlying cause of the problem and how to best support your dog in the comfort and convenience of your home.

So that you don’t have to rely on memory alone, a written assessment and behaviour plan is provided. You have the option to record any remote sessions we undertake.

Your follow-on package is practical and flexible, you have the freedom to choose when and how to structure support, including:

    • 1 month messenger support AND

    • 2 site sessions (you come to us) OR

    • 2 remote sessions OR

    • 1 site and 1 remote session OR

    • 1 home visit (we come to you). Please book a chat with Sezan first, to check if a home visit is suitable.

Evening and weekend packages are available at a £50 surcharge.

    Follow-on Support

You control the help you need, on request or on a monthly schedule

Dog behaviour modification should be thought of as a journey, rather than a destination. In many cases, owners benefit from extra training support or remote guidance and coaching, which is always available to those that seeking the extra helping hand.

All follow-on support can be claimed as a continuation of behaviour therapy for insurance purposes.

Monty the reactive lurcher dog runs excitedly through a whispy field of dry grass

Rachel with ‘Monty’ the Lurcher

“Oz Dog's focus group has been a great space for us since we joined a few months ago. It is brilliant to feel more able to get out and explore new places with our reactive dog, with other dog owners who understand and have many pearls of wisdom to share! Sezan has made a supportive, informative and friendly group, in which our dog has made some real progress, which we are delighted about! We would highly recommend Sezan's support to other dog owners looking to learn, better understand and have some adventures with their 'socially sensitive' dog!”

Group Therapy for Dogs

Dog-to-dog reactivity training group in South Bristol = £60/month

‘Group Therapy for Dogs’ provides the opportunity to practice training around other dogs in real life situations.

This is not a course on reactivity, the group is a less formal training space. We help reactive dogs help one another during shared trips outdoors, by maintaining a safe space between dogs and using reward based methods.

Owners can move in and out of the group when they choose to. Because of this, you must have good foundation knowledge of behaviour modification gained by a full behaviour consultation with a Clinical Behaviourist before joining.

Based from South Bristol, there are at least 2 trips arranged monthly including evening and weekend options.

Our group remains connected by an easy-to-use App.
